is it a pill box? a chatelaine rosary case? a compact? whatever it is, it's quite old and large and offers a wonderful secret compartment for whatever spells you need to contain. it's being sold in as-found condition, uncleaned because it's the buyer's choice whether to clean it and risk adding more aging to the mirror

in good antique condition

this is in as-found condition and if you wanted to use it for pills, etc you'd want to give it a serious cleaning 

hinge works easily and lid closes with a nice snap, but there's wiggle with the lid closed

the mirror has minor surface scratches, but is free from major chips and cracks, but it does show aging beneath the glass

heavy uneven patina, surface dirt, scratches, dents, dings, dulling, and signs of having been worn and loved
